Here are the totals for the XLR production for 2004, 2005 & 2006. These numbers will reflect not only roadsters built for the US. but also for export. The production totals will also include vehicles that are produced for shows,testing, and evaluation purposes that may not be available for purchase.

Now that you are an owner of an XLR, and in an elite group you will only deal with one other individual besides myself. My XLR service manager is dedicated to your needs, as I am dedicated to you.

Below is the explanation of the XLR's maintenance warranty coverage. When it is time for your Scheduled Maintenance services or any other type of service you may require please contact myself, as I can set up an appointment for you with my XLR service manager, and have substitute transportation waiting for you while your XLR is serviced.

Below is the explanation of the XLR's maintenance warranty coverage.


GENERAL MOTORS PROTECTION PLAN

CADILLAC XLR PREMIUM CARE
SMART CARE COVERAGE
48 Months or 50,000 Miles

CADILLAC XLR PREMIUM CARE

COVERAGE starts on the WARRANTY START DATE for YOUR Cadillac XLR and ends 48 months after the WARRANTY START DATE or at 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

This Agreement is between the original owner of a Cadillac XLR ("YOU" or "YOUR") and the Provider, General Motors Corporation ("WE", "US, or "OUR"), and includes the terms of YOUR Contract Registration.


DEFINITIONS

"CLAIM" refers to any COST for which YOU seek payment or reimbursement from US under this Agreement.

"COST" refers to the usual and fair charges for parts and labor to perform a covered service.


"VEHICLE" refers to the covered Cadillac XLR.

“WARRANTY START DATE” is the first day the VEHICLE is placed in service either by the initial purchaser/lessee or when the VEHICLE is placed in dealer demonstrator service or as a GM company owned vehicle. Company owned vehicles include PEP, work related, special event, engineering test and courtesy use. (Source: GM Warranty Operations DCS656 1/08/01)


WHAT THIS AGREEMENT COVERS

WE will pay a Cadillac franchise authorized to service Cadillac XLR vehicles the COST to perform the following recommended Scheduled Maintenance services only at the intervals specified below:

1. Engine oil and engine oil filter replacement
This service is to be performed either when the ”CHANGE OIL NOW” message is displayed on the Driver Information Center or once every 12 months.
2. Engine air filter replacement
This Service is to be performed at an odometer reading of 25,000 miles.
3. Passenger compartment air filter replacement
This service is to be performed at an odometer reading of 15,000 miles, 30,000 miles and 45,000 miles.


WHAT THIS AGREEMENT DOES NOT COVER
WE will not pay anything under this Agreement other than recommended scheduled maintenance as described above. If YOU have another service contract on YOUR VEHICLE that provides the same benefits, WE will pay only the COST excess of the amount paid by the other service contract.


CLAIM PROCEDURES
WE may reimburse YOUR COST to perform a covered service if YOU submit an original paid invoice, or WE may authorize and pay for the service ourselves. In either event, services must be performed by a Cadillac franchise authorized to service Cadillac XLR vehicles of YOUR choice.

If YOU need assistance in obtaining a service covered by this Agreement contact YOUR selling dealership. If YOU cannot contact the selling dealer for assistance,
call 1-800-631-5590 in the United States or 1-800-268-7676 in Canada, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.


CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROCEDURE
YOUR satisfaction and goodwill are important to US. Sometimes, however, despite the best intentions of all concerned, misunderstandings can occur. If a matter has not been resolved to YOUR satisfaction, the following steps should be taken:

STEP ONE - Discuss YOUR concerns with a member of the dealership management staff or owner of the facility. Normally, concerns can be quickly resolved at that level.

STEP TWO - If after contacting such persons YOUR concerns remain unresolved, contact the National Mechanical Service Center at 1-800-631-5590, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.


TRANSFER
To transfer this Agreement, contact the selling dealer for assistance, or provide the National Mechanical Service Center with the name and address of the new owner of the VEHICLE, the Agreement identification card, along with a $50 check or money order to cover the transfer fee. In either event, the National Mechanical Service Center must be notified within thirty (30) days of the date VEHICLE ownership is transferred or this Agreement will no longer be in force. In the event of YOUR death, coverage will be available to YOUR spouse or legal representative.


AGREEMENT CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
YOU cannot cancel this Agreement.

WE may cancel this Agreement if the odometer has been disconnected or altered, or the New Vehicle Limited Warranty has been canceled or voided. If WE cancel this Agreement, no refund will be paid since this Agreement was provided with the VEHICLE at no additional charge.

If any portion of this Agreement, or any form attached to it, conflicts with the statutes in the state where this Agreement was issued, such portions shall be amended to conform to such statutes.
